Deejay, producer, TNA representer…Nu Elementz is on a roll
Starting out from behind the decks in his native Kent, in the south-east of the UK, Nu Elementz quickly recognised that adding production to his arsenal of skills was the way forward. A laptop, a copy of Reason, and many hours of practice later, the precision-tooled grotty jump-up style that he’s known for was born.
And it didn’t take long for Nu Elementz to build an army of A-list fans. The likes of Roni Size, Hype, Hazard and Crissy Criss gave his music regular support in their sets, leading to national airplay on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and Kiss. His reputation even began to spread beyond the world of DnB, with multi-genre deejays like Mistajam and Toddla T spinning his tunes on radio.
As Nu Elementz’ status soared, prestigious labels came calling. Releases on Playaz, G13, V Recordings, Low Down Deep, and Sweet Tooth, as well his and Majistrate’s Bites imprint, cemented his position among the top rank. Hitting the top of download charts for the first time with the “Trauma EP” in 2015 was the icing on the cake.
Over recent years, the link-up with the TNA crew has pushed Nu Elementz to even greater heights. Instant-classic headline sets at festivals and raves around the world have made TNA one of the biggest brands drum ‘n’ bass has to offer. A constantly-refreshed arsenal of dubs and high-impact mixing skills, combined with his squad-mates Grima and Azza’s lyrical abilities, means Nu Elementz is one of the most in-demand deejays around.
Now, Nu Elementz is at the top of his game. As an internationally popular deejay and a top tier dancefloor DnB producer in his own right, as well as a core member of TNA, the world is his oyster. The one guarantee is that whatever’s next for Nu Elementz, it’s going to be spectacular.
